It was a chilly winter afternoon when I met with Courtney & Chris at Whitemud Park in Edmonton but the cold didn’t stop us from having a great time documenting their beautiful love story. From the moment I met Courtney I just knew that she was one of the most loving souls that I have ever met & it truly shows when she talks about Chris, her kiddos, and the life that they share.

My favourite part of the session was towards the end where I got Courtney & Chris to tell me about how they got engaged. Courtney is from the east coast of Canada & had always dreamed of getting married there, but found it more feasible to get married here in Alberta. Chris, knowing how important her hometown was to her, decided to propose to her on a trip back east in the church that her grandparents had gotten married in. As I asked Courtney what she loved about Chris, she shed tears telling me just how important he was to her and how loved she feels by him. These moments are the moments that I live to capture. The true, authentic, moments in time where the love is almost too much to handle (you can say I was a little bit of a mess on the other side of the camera as well).

I am so incredibly excited for their big day next December, especially to meet all of their wonderful family & friends who they talk so lovingly about!
