This is my good friend, and fellow photographer, Brittany. If you follow along with my work, you’ve probably seen her many times in my images. Our favourite thing to do together is to get out, explore & take some photos – like in this AMAZING Edmonton, Alberta sunflower field sunset! I would say that this blog post is somewhat of a love letter for Brittany & all that she has done to support me over the past two years. Brittany is such a pillar in my love for photography. Our adventures together are always a good time & these adventures give me a safe space to try new things & to learn new things. Her encouragement & love for me is never ending!
Brittany and I both grew up in two small towns about 20 minutes apart in rural Alberta. Despite not knowing each other throughout our childhood, our love for photography brought us together. I can remember the first time we went o hang out & shoot. I was so nervous about my first ever couples shoot that I was doing soon & Brittany encouraged me that everything would be fine & that I should just jump right in.
This was a shoot from last summer where Brittany & I went for a drive to this beautiful sunflower location. Sometimes I have no idea where we are going on these adventures, but we always seem to end up somewhere beautiful! Unfortunately, it had frosted a couple of nights before so the sunflowers weren’t at their best – but it was still a gorgeous sight to see!
I’m so blessed to have such an amazing person in my life who I can laugh with, share images with (I’m constantly sending Brittany photos saying “does this look weird to you?” hahah), share crazy adventures with & most importantly who supports me & encourages me in everything that I do!
Brittany is an adventurous lifestyle family, couple & landscape photographer. You can check out Brittany’s instagram & facebook – you won’t be disappointed!
I wanted to write this post because I feel that we should all tell our friends & family how much we love & adore them more often. Tell the people you love that you cherish their support. Tell them that you appreciate their love & their friendship. I often do this on my instagram stories where I highlight people in my life that I am thankful for! If you would like, you can follow along here! This world is all about the relationships that you have & we need to make the most of them! I hope that everyone has a wonderful Saturday & that you get to spend time with the ones you love!
If you are interested in booking a sunflower field session – send me a message here – I would LOVE to hear from you!
