This elopement / intimate wedding is one of the most laid-back, easy going, love filled days that I have ever had the honor of being a part of! Thanks for checking out my post Jasper Elopement Photographer with Hillary & Kurt!

Hillary and Kurt began their Jasper elopement morning getting ready at separate campgrounds at Whistler’s Campground. It was such a beautiful sunny day! After that, we picked a beautiful secluded spot to do their first look photos & let me tell you, i cried many tears right along with them that day. The love that these two share for each other was clearly so so deep and beautiful, every time they looked at each other you could just feel it. Afterwards, we headed to Tekarra Lodge for their intimate ceremony with their closest family members, overlooking the Athabasca River. This was such a beautiful spot & lodge that I had not been to before but highly recommend checking out if you are in the Jasper area! The amazing Laura of Be Hitched By Laura was their officiant. I have worked with Laura many times & she always does SUCH an incredible job at getting to know the couple & their story, and incorporating it into their ceremony. I actually tried to get Laura for my own wedding but she was sadly already booked! (ps, you can find all of the links for the vendors I worked with at this wedding at the bottom)

After the ceremony we took some family photos & the I whisked the couple away to a few different photo spots I love in the Jasper area. Hillary & Kurt chose to read their own personal vows in what was probably the most emotional and beautiful exchange of vows I have ever witnessed. Sometimes in these moments I can’t even believe that I get to witness this sort of love as my job. To celebrate, they popped some champagne & frolicked in the field! I then dropped them off with their family to enjoy an intimate dinner & celebrate!

Intimate weddings & elopements are just so so special because you get to really focus your attention on your partner & your closest family & friends. Sometimes I find that full wedding days can go by in a flash, and elopements have the nice and slow feeling, being able to be fully present in each moment and not worry about what thing you have to check off on the event list next.
