To say it’s been a ride for these two to finally be married would be an understatement! I wasn’t meant to always be Nikki & Ryan’s Lake Louise Elopement Photographer, but keep reading to hear the rest of the story! I met Nikki & Ryan in the fall of 2019 when they drove TWO HOURS to come out to my farm for my fall mini session! At the time, I remember chatting with them & they told me how they were engaged & were thinking about planning a destination elopement! We chatted all things elopements, took their adorable fall photos & they were off on their way back to Edmonton.

Fast forward a few months & Nikki & Ryan contacted me inquiring about shooting their wedding in Mexico & bringing along my best partner in crime, Sheena Rae Beauty to do all things hair & makeup! Sheena & I were so pumped & honored to have been asked by Nikki & Ryan not only to capture their wedding, but also to be their witnesses!

Now I think we all know where this story is going, but of course, the world turned upside down & we were no longer able to travel out of the country. So Nikki & Ryan decided that they didn’t want to wait & see how long it might take for the world to open back up again & decided that they would choose Lake Louise to get married!

On April 11th 2021, Nikki & Ryan were married with the most stunning Lake Louise winter mountain backdrop with an amazing team of vendors beside them! They got ready in separate rooms & had the most adorable first look. Ryan, I don’t know if anyone else will ever top your reaction! They were married right on the lake, had a beautiful san pouring ceremony, ate some cake & then we were off to do their wedding portraits! Every single time I shoot a wedding or elopement in the mountains I am reminded of just how amazing it is that I get to live so close to such an incredible place!
