I’ve known Lauren now for many years since she moved to Elk Point from Edmonton. Lauren is a certified personal trainer & I have spent many hours hanging out with her being trained in her home gym! I was lucky enough that she had asked me to take some family photos of her & her clan after her little girl Kemper was born. Since it was cold outside, we decided to do an in home session & that was my first one ever! Any new photographer knows just how nerve wracking in home sessions can be, trying to make sure that you have the light just right, etc, etc. I was so nervous but I am so thankful that Lauren gave me that opportunity because now in home sessions are my absolute favourite!

Lauren is the co-owner of an online children’s boutique called Blush & Navy! It has been so wonderful to watch how she has carefully curated & created such a successful business & online community through her Instagram. Lauren & Ryan got married in Las Vegas this past year but they were very disappointed with the services that they received from their photographer, which was suggested to them by the venue that they had booked. Unfortunately, they did not like the images that were created & then they were informed afterwards that they would needs to pay hundreds and hundreds of dollars just to have their images released to them. After doing family photos for Lauren for a couple of years, she decided that it could be fun to put her dress back on & include some bride & groom portraits along with their yearly family photos. We even got to play with smoke bombs & I think we can say that was quite an event hahah! Dana Smyl Designs made up a gorgeous fall bouquet that was adorned with beautiful succulents for the shoot.
