You may remember Nicole and Colin from the photos of their sweet, woodsy, springtime backyard engagement session. Nicole and Colin spent months dreaming of a laid back, relaxed “brunchy feeling” wedding, and they certainly achieved it. This beautiful Saint Paul brunch wedding called for an intimate 11AM ceremony followed by a bright and airy reception at 1PM. The ceremony was held in the church that Nicole and Colin grew up attending, so it felt extra special and monumental for them to stand together and commit to a life of love in that exact church.
Nicole and Colin were in a class together in high school, but if you ask Nicole, she’ll laugh and say she doesn’t remember it. It’s funny how the love of your life can be someone who’s been there all along. They both attended the same church growing up and would see each other in passing at different parish gatherings, but it wasn’t until years later that sparks flew when Colin became Nicole’s personal trainer at the gym in St. Paul.
Their ideal date night: “Cozying up on the couch, watching a good movie with a glass of wine.”
Their tip to every bride and groom to be: “Make sure you only plan or do things that are important to you. At the end of the day, it should be a day you fully enjoy.”
The venue: Saint Paul Cathedral & The Hampton Inn, St. Paul, Alberta
The colour palette: blush pink and sage green
The wedding favour: A custom newspaper, “The Wedding Day Post” with tiny bingo-style pencils secured with the sweetest twine and a wooden thank you to the guests.
The biggest hit: “The donuts. Everyone loved the donuts!”

Kind Words
Seanna was such a pleasure to work with. From our engagement pictures to our wedding day and all the interaction in between. She is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to advice on what to wear for your shoot, the perfect time to shoot at, how to capture images in a timely manner, how to make everyone feel comfortable and even how to get little ones to smile. We loved all the special moments that she was able to capture. She is a joy to be around and really added a positive and enjoyable aspect to our wedding day and the planning process. She was eager and enthusiastic about answering any and all questions. Her ability to make you feel like, even though she is a busy lady, that you are her #1 priority. I enjoyed every aspect of her being part of our lives for the months leading up to and including our wedding day. We received our photos in a very timely manner and were completely happy with our photos. I was sad for it to all be over but look forward to keeping in touch and working together again in the future.
