How did I get so lucky to live 5 minutes from this beautiful winter wonderland? Maggie & Ricky braved the cold with me to capture some memories for their two year anniversary in this beautiful Alberta couples winter anniversary session. We were able to take some breaks in between shooting to warm up in the car & of course I brought a blanket for them to snuggle in – because who doesn’t love snuggling right?!

I feel as though I fall in love with a different season each year. I crave summer because of the heat & the smell of freshly cut grass. I yearn for fall because I always host Thanksgiving & you get that cozy feeling back again. I wait for winter because of her beauty. I adore spring & all of the new-ness it brings. It’s so hard for me to decide what my favorite season is because although I absolutely love the Alberta summer & sunshine, winter often tends to take my breath away (sometimes because of the beauty, and other times because it’s -40 hahah). But those freezing cold prairie mornings where everything is covered in hoar frost are probably some of the most beautiful mornings I’ve seen.

I’m glad that we live in a place where we get to experience the beauty of all the different seasons – but I could handle a warmer winter haha!
