Hello friends & welcome to my new website! I am a couple, wedding, and elopement photographer based out of Edmonton, Alberta! I AM SO EXCITED! This website has been in the works for a long time. I switched from platform to platform & I would try to work hard but struggle for a couple months which would result in my quitting once again. Making a website is not as easy as you think it would be! I always thought I was pretty technologically savvy, but I guess not! It has taken a lot of googling, reading articles, and asking friends for help to make this space come alive & I am so grateful to everyone who has helped me or even given me tips!
So now we are here! I finally now have a place to share more of the images that are created! You typically only see a few shots from each session & I couldn’t be more excited to create a space to share more. Whether you are here to follow along with my journey, check out what a session experience might feel like, or to check out some photos of family or friends, I’m so happy & honored that you came! From now on I will try & share as much as possible & I would absolutely love to hear your feedback!
I recently shot some family photos for Jessica & Jeremy’s family, & I was so excited when I was able to do a cozy in home couple’s photography session with them. I have always found in home sessions to be so beautiful & meaningful, & I was over the moon excited when someone agreed to do one with me. The funny catch of this situation was that it was in MY home. Now this flipped the tables a little. From this experience I can now understand how it feels to have someone (probably who you don’t know very well) come into your space. I was cleaning like a mad woman, ensuring that everything looked ‘just right’, & anticipating how the couple would feel in my space. It’s scary. It’s nerve wracking. It’s WORTH IT. Although it wasn’t Jessica & Jeremy’s home, I was able to create a relaxed atmosphere that helped them to feel right at home & we ended up having a blast! I had asked them to bring some things to the shoot that was meaningful to them that they could cherish together.
If you are ever interested in an in home session in Edmonton or anywhere in Alberta and beyond – I am here to tell you that although it might feel scary it is so worth it. To be able to show the place where you live your lives, where you love one another, and where you create memories that you will hold for a lifetime. The images that are created from these sessions become important & meaningful in your life journey – they show one chapter in the journey that you are taking as two souls connected as one.
Thank you again to Jessica & Jeremy! If you might be interested in an in home session send me an email at seannaleafphotography@gmail.com or hit me up on my contact page – I would love to hear from you! You cna also check out my work on my instagram page here!
