Courtney & Vance had an intimate Abraham Lake elopement with some family & friends on the shore of Abraham Lake earlier this summer & I am almost at a loss for words about this magical day. I met Courtney through one of my good friends & I knew from the minute that we started chatting that we were going to be great friends & that the day her & Vance were planning was going to be a true reflection of their laid back lifestyle & personalities. I arrived to the David Thompson Resort the night before the ceremony with Courtney, Vance, & their friends giving me a warm welcome to hang out in their cabin for a while to get to know everyone.

The day before the ceremony, Vance & Courtney took a drive along Abraham Lake and picked a spot for their ceremony. With their closest family & friends by their side, they said “I do”. From there, we adventured around the area taking the bridal party and bride & groom portraits. The evening ended with a BBQ at their cabin & sharing stories around a campfire!

This is what I love about weddings now a days. It can be whatever you want it to be – it doesn’t matter if you are in a church, or on the side of a lake, it’s the people who are there & the love that you share with one another!
