Krista & Kyle decided to tie the knot in the beautiful Playa del Carmen Mexico not only for the sun & the sand, but to also spend a week with everyone they love the most. Both Krista & Kyle are from the east coast, but relocated to Alberta for work and unfortunately both went through the Fort McMurray wildfire in 2016. This meant moving in with each other sooner, which clearly was meant to be!
Getting married in another country can be quite the undertaking, but the wedding coordination services at Sandos Caracol Eco Resort helped Krista & Kyle through the whole process & organized everything the day of the wedding. This resort was so full of lush green forest, many different types of animals, a cenote, multiple pools, and a ton of different activities. There was never a lack of things to do or check out while at the resort!
Thanks to Krista & Kyle & all of their family & friends for making me feel like I was one of the bunch & introducing me to a multitude of Newfoundland songs!
I have decided to start to add some words from the bride and/or groom in each blog post so that you can get to know them a little better & even grab some advice if you are planning your own wedding!
How did you two meet?
We grew up together since kindergarten, moved from Newfoundland to Alberta at the same time. it wasn’t until 9 years of us both living here that we crossed paths from mutual friends and it all went from there.
What would your ideal date night be?
Just a simple dinner and a movie.
What were your favourite parts of the wedding day?
Spending it with our close friends and family.
What was your wedding song?
Told You – Florida Georgia Line
What advice would you give to brides/grooms planning their wedding?
Try not to stress out over little things, it will all come out beautiful in the end.
