I do not even know where to start on talking about this incredible shoot & trip…. To sum it up in one word, INCREDIBLE. I am sooooo excited to share this Morocco Engagement with you. Having the opportunity to travel to a place I probably would have never travelled, meeting this sweet sweet couple, and getting to photograph them in one of the most beautiful places in the world was nothing short of amazing. Mandy & Mason had this trip planned before the world *shut down* for a while, and they were so excited to finally get to go on their trip this year, and to make it even more exciting, they were engaged! Choosing the Sahara Desert for their engagement session was the perfect setting as these two are true travel lovers. Mandy has even been to over 30 countries!

We set off the first day on a 10 hour road trip to go from Fez to the Sahara & stopped along the way to see all the monkeys and all the beautiful countryside. Just like magic, we left the mountains and started to see the crazy huge sand dunes off in the distance. I am pretty used to seeing towering mountains, but seeing these huge sand dunes was something totally new and exciting!

We then hopped on our camels, with our lovely Berber guide, and off into the desert we went! We were blessed with the most perfect evening, running around the dunes & capturing their love for each other. On our way to our camp for the night, we got to witness one of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen. There was a moment where we were riding our camels, everything was so quiet, and I looked over towards the sunset and shed a few tears. How freaking incredible it is that I get to do this as a job. Of course it’s so much more than just a job, but the gratitude truly overwhelmed me in that moment and I was brimming with happiness.

I was treated to the most beautiful camp to stay in for the night, and the next morning we woke up at sunrise to do another shoot… but that’s for another post!
