On June 21st this year, the summer solstice, I was invited to photograph an event hosted by Prairie Couture. The lovely lady behind the brand, Marina Perilli, runs the mobile boutique which celebrates femininity and offers curated looks that speak to the heart of a woman who loves western boho fashion at affordable prices! This was Marina’s first year with hosting this type of event & it was SUCH a success! She has a beautiful huge backyard where she setup a local vendors market, a food truck, a fashion show, lipstick testing, makeovers, and some guided meditation & a fire release! This was truly a place where women could come to connect & empower one another. So many amazing women came together to create this event which led to so many more amazing women attending.

After doing the guided mediation with Amber Kupina, the sky opened up & let out so much rain, thunder, and lightning! This coincided so beautifully with the washing away from the year before & setting our intentions for the year to come. We then did a fire release with Susanne Venaas from Soul Sense of everything that was not serving us by writing down these thoughts & running into the rain, placing these papers in the fire, & letting them go!

I always love meeting new people & connecting with like minded women & I cannot wait for the event next year!
