If you follow along on my Instagram, I know that you have been waiting to see this Edmonton family session! I love being an Edmonton family photographer because of the special people, & pups, that I get to meet! Back in November, Daniel & Desiree contacted me asking if I would be open to doing a family session with them & their pups because their pup, Willie, was recently diagnosed with spinal cancer. Of course I said yes & was so honoured to be asked to document a time in their life with such a special member of their family.

From the moment that I walked into Daniel & Desiree’s home & was greeted by massive Willie, I was in love! Willie is a Newfoundlander & I was taken back by just how massive he was! The family told me stories of how when they used to go camping with Willie, somehow had thought he was a bear, & I could totally see why! Despite his size, Willie seemed like the most playful, kind-hearted pup who loved his family so much. We got to go explore their backyard as Daniel & Desiree told me stories of Willie & their other pupper Bella. One of my favourite parts of the session was when Daniel & Desiree got Willie to speak – see if you can find those photos!
